1. AccuWeather – Editor’s choice
AccuWeather provides a comprehensive and complete weather report of your location, and it’s also one of the best weather apps for the Apple Watch. I recommend this if you’re looking to get rainfall or snow forecasts up to 120 minutes before stepping out. Getting the exact temperature and rainfall likelihood in your area is one of the features you’ll find helpful on this app, as it updates you in real-time as the day passes. AccuWeather forecasts weather accurately by connecting to various meteorological APIs and mining weather data around you. This helps the app provide actionable insights about impending weather changes. Its MinuteCast feature allows you to foresee precipitation chances and temperature changes for a specified future time. It also has a weather alert system, but this is only currently available for US users. The free version features ads, which aren’t overly intrusive. But watch out! You might click an ad without knowing it’s an ad. However, you can opt for the premium plan to cancel ads and get advanced features. Price: Free (Subscription starts at $0.00)

2. Clime: Weather Radar Live – Best weather app for travelers
Clime offers some of the best functionalities among iPhone and iPad weather apps. It’s one of the best weather apps for travelers, as it provides a real-time forecast for various locations around you. You can peep into another location to get its weather forecast from wherever you are by clicking on that location from the app’s map or searching that location via the search bar. I’m also intrigued by its location detection precision and forecasting accuracy. It also features rain scope to predict precipitation likelihood. There are a few to gain from the app’s free version. But its premium plan comes with rain intensity prediction, advanced forecast, satellite view, snow depth determination and forecast, fire outbreak likelihood, and animated wind forecast.
It features many advanced functionalities Get another location’s weather forecast A satellite view is available Accurate location detection and forecasting
Advanced features are only available in the premium plan.

3. Weather Live – Simple UI
Weather Live comes in handy for tracking impending lightning and hurricanes. While other apps do the same, this one comes with advanced features. Want to know what the weather is like in a week? You can find out with Weather Live. Once you launch the app, you’ll see your location’s temperature, including lower and upper limit temperature forecasts for a particular time. I admire its probability presentation, which gives you a percentage likelihood of the predicted condition. The app features a simple design, but there’s much to learn from its detailed dashboard. Weather summary for the day, precipitation prediction and pointers, wind forecast, air quality, ultraviolet intensity, and visibility are the primary features of Weather Live. You can use the app for free. But a premium plan lets you remove ads and allows you to customize the app’s layout. Price: Free (Subscription starts at $1.99)

4. Weather & Radar – Features temperature calendar
Weather Radar features some of the best temperature calendars. This includes a line graph to show the lower and upper limit temperature trends and forecasts for 14 days ahead. You can use the app’s search bar to query a location and download its weather data. While I find its automatic location detection handy, weather data download cab be slow. Disappointingly, its location detection isn’t accurate whether you search manually or use auto-detect. The app also detaches itself from the source server frequently. And that frustrated me during testing. However, I love its weather information sharing feature, which lets you share your location’s weather insight with friends and family. One of the most likable features of Weather Radar is that you can take a shot of an area in your location and share this along with the temperature value. Price: Free (Subscription starts at $0.99)
Monitor temperature trends with the weather calendar Share weather conditions with others Switch to another location to check its temperature Take a shot of your area with its temperature and share it with others
The app can be slow to start Location detection is not precise Frequent downtime

5. Yahoo Weather – Free weather app for the iPhone
Yahoo Weather offers great value for a free app. The app gives an hourly temperature forecast within 24 hours and a 15-minute interval precipitation forecast within an hour. So users stay in the loop as weather changes in real-time. You can also keep track of temperature changes for the next seven days from your current period. You might get shocked seeing extreme temperature values, but no worries, Yahoo Weather presents these numbers in Fahrenheit instead of Celcius. There’s a thunderstorm forecast, displayed with the percentage likelihood of precipitation, all on the dashboard. The dashboard also details humidity percentage, visibility, ultraviolet index, air quality index, and wind current. What’s unique about Yahoo Weather is it shows the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in your region. The COVID-19 stat would’ve been better if you could check incidence for specific locations around you. The only reservation I have for this one is that its location auto-detection algorithm can use better precision. Price: Free
Completely free See COVID-19 prevalence in your region Get an hourly weather forecast on temperature and precipitation Clean dashboard
Location autodetection can be more precise

6. My Hurricane Tracker & Alerts – Weather app for tracking hurricane
As the name sounds, My Hurricane doesn’t have many features other than giving you hurricane and tornado updates and their likelihood. Besides the technical details that can be a bit hard to understand for average daily users, this is a valuable app for people who don’t mind complex weather reports. In addition to forecasts, the app gathers updates about tropical weather outlook from the National Hurricane Center, Miami. Hence, you’ll receive first-hand actionable updates about impending cyclones and hurricanes. You can also request detailed wind speed and direction and share that with others. The forecast model section also shows satellite imagery for hurricane forecasts and storm directions. My Hurricane Tracker comes at no price, but a few ads here and there might put you off unless your go for a premium package. Price: Free (Pro version available at $2.99)

7. Weather – Simplest iPhone weather app
Weather is another app that provides straightforward real-time updates in a simple interface. The app features radar technology, which offers a satellite view of real-time climate behavior around you. In addition to the radar feature, hourly and daily forecasts are among the many dividends you get for subscribing to a premium plan. The app’s customization feature allows you to choose which data and stats you like to see. For instance, you can choose to turn or off precipitation probability or view the UV index for the day. The dashboard features stats for cloud behavior, rainfall prediction, wind forecasts, humidity and ocean current monitoring, snow depths determination, and cyclone forecasts, among other things. 8. Storm Radar – Most reliable weather app
Storm Radar provides many advanced features for monitoring how the weather changes around you. The app is reliable as it mines weather data from the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to get accurate predictions. You can also set up alerts and get notified of severe weather information. Storm Radar features tools for predicting rainfall and temperature change likelihood. Humidity level, dew point, UV index, and atmospheric pressure determination come at no price. And you can choose between hourly or daily weather updates. However, storm tracking and other advanced features are only accessible when you opt for the paid plan. I’ve seen many apps like it, but I must commend this app’s utility, user experience, and beautiful user interface with its smooth transitions. Indeed, it offers value for money. And no worries, you won’t get ads even if you don’t subscribe to a premium plan. Price: Free (Subscription starts at $0.99)

9. Weather Alert Map US – Pay-per-feature
Although Weather Alerts Map mentions the US in its title, it works in any mapped location. It features tools for forecasting the weather like many other apps on the list. Quakes, temperature, tides, air quality, and lightning forecasting are the key features available in this app. The location detection is a bit accurate, but I’d prefer a more precise detection. Overall the app feels good and offers advanced weather forecasting tools. However, the app only works on a pay-per-feature basis, which makes it affordable. This can also be an advantage if you’re not likely to use some features, as you only pay for what you use. You can also switch locations to get weather forecasts about other geolocations when you pay for their weather services. Price: Free (Subscription starts at $0.99)
Pay-per-feature service ensures that you only pay for what you use See quake and other weather forecasts Simple interface Accurate forecasting
There’s no free feature

10. Windy.com – Most functional iPhone weather app
Windy is a simple weather app for daily and weekly forecasts. While there’s a mobile app, you can access the tool on the web via windy.com. It features real-time weather information and forecasting. And I’m intrigued by its location detection accuracy, which detects your exact location. You’ll see the current temperature and its forecasts for the next three days at the top of the dashboard when you open the app. Windy looks simple but features many tools to get you going with real-time weather stats. What’s surprising is most of these are available for free. However, air quality forecast, wind speed detection, and density updates come with a premium plan in the app. The map on this one gives satellite visualizations of the condition in your locality, and you can also choose what you want to view on the map. For instance, you can decide to only see places with extreme temperatures. What I admire most about Windy is how its map transitions whenever you tap to see specific weather information. Price: Free (Subscription starts at $2.99)
Get real-time weather information and forecasts It has a beautiful user interface Reasonable maps Choose what you want to see on the map It has many weather forecasting tools A 24-hour technical support Accessible via the web
