A recurring theme present on all four watches is the glossy black finish on their respective resin-based bezels and bands. Both the DW-6900RGB-1 and GA-100RGB-1A come with fancy “rainbow vapour deposition” watch faces, which are basically spectrum-coloured metallic plates. The GA-700RGB-1A and GA-2100RGB-1A models, on the other hand, trades the multi-colored plates for brightly coloured interfaces adorning their matte black watch faces. Despite featuring the term in their respective model names, the quartet does not actually come with any RGB lighting gimmicks, which does feel like a missed opportunity. Instead, all four watches come equipped with the same lighting system as their regular variants. More specifically, the GA-100RGB-1A comes with an amber LED light, the ones on the GA-2100RGB-1A and GA-700RGB-1A are in white, while the DW-6900RGB-1 features a Blue Green EL light. Besides that, the Virtual Rainbow series comes with all of the familiar G-Shock offerings including shock resistance, 20 bar water resistance, multi-zone world time support, stopwatch, as well as the other features that are unique to each model. Also not forgetting the stainless steel plates on the back on each of these watches, though there are no series-specific engravings featured this time around. For pricing, the DW-6900RGB-1 is set to retail for RM 595, the GA-700RGB-1A at RM 615, GA-2100RGB-1A at RM 615, and the GA-100RGB-1A at RM 665. The new Virtual Rainbow G-Shock series will be exclusively sold via Casio’s official online store first, starting tomorrow on 10 March 2023. The company has yet to confirm when the watches are expected to be locally available in-store, though G-Factory informed us that stocks may arrive sometime in the middle of the month.
