UPDATE (9:07 PM 6 April 2023): Infinix says that the accurate launch date for the Hot 30 is on 14 April. ORIGINAL STORY (8:00 PM 6 April 2023): Infinix Malaysia has announced on its official Facebook page that it will be bringing in the Infinix Hot 30 to the local market in the middle of the month. Though the line-up consists of three models – the other two being the Hot 30i and Hot 30i NFC – the company has so far only explicitly mentioned the base model. Said base model Infinix Hot 30 comes with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. On the inside, it runs a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. Some of that can also be used as expanded memory, which sort of gives the phone 16GB of RAM. Powering them all is a 5000mAh battery with a charging rate of 33W. This is fortunately done via USB-C For its cameras, the Infinix Hot 30 has a 50MP main camera at the back with an 8MP secondary shooter sitting in a teardrop notch. Being an entry level phone, the 3.5mm audio jack is still a thing on this device. On the software side of things, it comes with Android 13 out of the box. Update: Infinix says that despite what it has put up on its official Lazada and Shopee stores, the RM549 price is a placeholder. And specifically for the former, a representative described it as a “dummy test page”. While the phone will be available on 14 April, the company will only be announcing its price on 10 April. That being said, the placeholder price does look like a price that the Infinix Hot 30 would legitimately come with, considering what came before. As an aside, there’s also a Free Fire edition of the Infinix Hot 30, which comes complete with paraphernalia featuring the game. While it will likely be similar on the hardware side of things, chances are this will also come with a premium on top of the base price. (Source: Infinix [1], [2], [3])
