Powered by the TrueDepth camera, Attention Aware automatically lowers your iPhone X volume when you are looking at your device. And, when you aren’t paying attention to your smartphone, it increases the volume to alert you. Besides, it also dims the display of your device when you aren’t looking at it. What if you find this feature a bit weird, as you want the ringer volume to behave normally? No problem, you can choose to disable Attention Aware on your iPhone X to return to normalcy. Step #1. Launch Settings app on your iPhone X. Step #2. Now, tap on Face ID and enter the Passcode. Step #3. Next, turn off Attention Aware Features. That’s done! From now onwards, your iPhone X ringer volume won’t lower even if you are looking at your smartphone. If you ever want to get this smart feature back in action again, follow these same steps and turn on the toggle for Attention Aware Features in the end. That’s done! Have your say Luckily, I no longer wonder why the volume alerts of my iPhone behave so abnormally.
