To go over what the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 has to offer again, perhaps one of the defining traits of this smartwatch is its nifty two-layer design for its 1.43-inch display. The one underneath is the regular OLED panel which does most of the heavy lifting while you are actively using the smartwatch. But for when you need it to just be a watch that tells the time, and some other figures on your health like hear rate, that’s where the low-energy display on top comes in. Beyond the aforementioned chipset, which is accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 also runs Wear OS 3.5. Powering the other bits of hardware is a 628mAh battery, which the company claims can give it up to 80 hours of life. The company also claims that you can get up to 65% of its battery charge back with 30 minutes of charging, though the process does involve a proprietary charger. Connectivity is done via Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi. The whole package is rated as water resistant to 5ATM, with a MIL-STD-810H rating on top, and it uses 24mm straps. As with its international unveiling, the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 is still only available in one colour, officially called Obsidian. As for its price, it is listed as costing RM1,650. Worth noting though is a pretty uncommon disclaimer, which says that the smartwatch is not compatible with iOS or phones without Google Play Services. (Source: Mobvoi / Shopee)
