From the video, we can see that the Nothing Phone (2) is of a similar size to the first one, if not marginally larger. More importantly though, a lot of its LED strips at the back has been segmented. Notably, the ring around the cameras has been split into two, while the major ring at the back is split into six.
One of the six actually consists of 16 LEDs on its own, which allows it to serve as another progress indicator, similar to the way the exclamation mark serves as a charging progress indicator. In one example, Brownlee showed it being used as a volume indicator, and in another, it’s been used as a timer. Naturally, third party integration will be possible, but it would be up to them to implement this. With all that being said, it looks similar enough to the teaser by Swedish House Mafia, with both companies working together on the Glyph composer. One change that’s not immediately noticeable is the slight rounding of the glass at the back. Beyond that, the Nothing Phone (2) is very familiar to the first one. The model that’s being showcased in the video is grey, but it remains to be seen if any other colour variants will be available. Its price is not known yet, naturally, but it is expected to come with a larger price tag than the preceding model. (Source: Marquess Brownlee / YouTube)
