This is according to a Weibo post by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, which claims that OPPO is developing a 300W SuperVOOC charging system that will be paired with a 4,600mAh battery. Moreover, the report claims that this technology will make its way onto a consumer device within this year. Redmi’s 300W Immortal Second Charger claims to be able to completely charge a phone in five minutes. It demoed this using a modified Redmi Note 12 Discovery with a 4,100mAh battery, which took only two minutes and 11 seconds to reach 50% and to 100% in just shy of five minutes. The regular version of the Redmi Note 12 Discovery is already equipped with a blazing fast 210W charging, which can fill up the phone in about 10 minutes. Currently, the record for fastest charging in a working consumer phone is held by the realme GT3, with a speed of 240W. That being said, Infinix might soon take the crown from realme with its 260W technology, which is rumoured to debut in Q3 2023 with the Infinix GT 10 Pro. OPPO’s current fastest charging technology that has been shipped out in an actual product is 150W, which has been integrated in the OnePlus 10T. Currently, there is no official news from OPPO of when they will debut the 300W technology or that it is even working on it in the first place. As for Redmi’s 300W concept charging system, it has not announced when it will be shipping it out in one of their phones. As for the realme GT 3, it’s still unconfirmed whether it’s coming here or which version we would be getting — there are versions with 150W and 240W charging. (Source: Gadgets360)
